Samsung enters into E-Book-reader market

Now also Samsung wants to mix together in the team of the E-Book-reader-producers. However one seems not necessarily mindful to up-add the market with innovations the E-Book-reader smaller and more simply equipped will be, than the competitors.
In South Korea the first E-Book-reader was already introduced by Samsung. Is technically seen the SNE-50K designated equipment the devices of Amazon and Sony however to support. But the price with converted scarcely 200 euros to be quite favorable and thus the entrance into the world of the E-Books facilitate.
The screen of the SNE-50K measures only 5 tariff and is smaller thereby around 1 tariff than that of the competitors. The dissolution amounts to 600 x 800 pixels and can represent eight gray tones. The equipment measures about 10 x 14 cm and is scarcely 1 cm thickly. Due to the dimensions and the small display Samsung reader thereby is suitable more for the vacation reading and less for specialized technical or magazines.

The internal memory amounts to 512 MByte. 430 MByte are to the user for own contents at the disposal. At formats the SNE-50K pdf, ePub, understands TXT as well as with of Microsoft Office programs of provided documents. Pictures in the BMP format can be represented likewise. As only interface a USB-2.0-Anschluss is used, over which contents of the computer will transfer to the reader and over also the accumulator are loaded.
Only plus of the SNE-50K in relation to the competition, is the Touchscreen, which is served with a pin. Thus the user can use the equipment also as note pad and as calendars.
Samsung wants to become larger with its E-Book-program than Amazon or Sony, therefore it will give already further equipment to at the beginning of of 2010.
That is times a challenge, which lets hope for sinking prices.

It’s great that Samsung has joined the e-book reader market. This device looks great although I prefer a reader that is a bit bigger.
